Selective Photothermal Effect: The 808nm wavelength laser penetrates the skin's surface. Since hair follicles contain a large amount of melanin, this melanin preferentially absorbs the laser energy.

Energy Conversion: Melanin absorbs light energy and converts it into heat energy.

Precise Targeting: This wavelength has a relatively low absorption rate in other skin tissues (such as water and hemoglobin), thus precisely targeting the hair follicle without causing significant damage to the surrounding skin.

Among various wavelengths for laser hair removal (such as 755nm, 808nm, and 1064nm), 808nm is considered the "gold standard":
* Moderate Depth: It can penetrate deep into the dermis, covering the depth of most hair follicles.
* Balanced Melanin Absorption: Its absorption rate is lower than 755nm (safer, less likely to burn the epidermis), but higher than 1064nm (more efficient).

Wide Skin Tone Applicability: It can be safely applied to various skin types, from light to dark.
